Cinema Warning: Going To The Movies Can Be Dangerous For Your Health

It was in one recent article that the Chairman of Sony Picture Entertainment Chairman Michael Lynton made a gentle scolding to the public on how unhealthy the kinds of food being served in theaters. He took the time to remind all owners of these theaters that health surveys say that almost 1 out of 3 young people already suffer from obesity. This then puts everyone’s health at a higher risk of having asthma, heart failure or diabetes.

Health experts agreed that humongous portions of popcorn and candies can really be a major factor in causing such diseases. Nevertheless, parents say that it won’t be that easy to give their kids instead healthy snack bars or a frozen yogurt.

To control what is being offered in theaters as snacks can really play a crucial role in everyone’s health, I believe. But like everything else in life, if put in moderation, we can still not deprive ourselves of these foods that simply make us happy. Not unless you go to the theaters every day.

What do you think?
